The International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM International) is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the science and practice of Obsolescence Management. Functioning through delegation agreements with independent legal entities in various countries and territories known as Chapters, IIOM International is committed to enhancing the knowledge and best practices of obsolescence practitioners worldwide. IIOM currently has formal chapters located in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, and India.
With a focus on education, networking, and process development, IIOM serves professionals from diverse sectors, including aerospace, defense, railways, nuclear energy, oil and gas, automation, automotive, and industrial, who engage in the development, production, and maintenance of products and services with extended life cycles.
IIOM has a global presence, with Chapter members united by a shared vision to establish IIOM as the world’s leading and recognized organization for Obsolescence Management. IIOM Chapters play a pivotal role as platforms for members to organize local activities, events, and collaborative initiatives. Each Chapter operates as a legal entity in its respective country, led by a Chapter Council and supported by committees that align with their interests.
