Embedded World 2020

GDCA once again attended one of the world’s most important meetings of the embedded industry, Embedded World 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany. At the conference, we spoke with industry leaders about current trends and the right proactive business models for effective obsolescence management. We are honored to have also been included during EW20 in PICMG’s annual magazine. The article, “Embedded legacy obsolescence: Obscuring the truth and the bottom line,” featured new perspectives to better understand the true cost of obsolescence, legacy manufacturing issues, and solutions covering the entire life cycle (for OEMs).

DMSMS 2019

This was our most exciting year attending DMSMS in Phoenix, Arizona. Each year familiar faces and new concerns push conference attendees to once again address how the military will confront diminishing materials and shortages due to obsolescence. Our CEO, Ethan Plotkin, presented “An Information-led Approach to Choosing Suitable DMSMS Solutions,” and our Director of Legacy Solutions, Bill Spain, spoke on “How to Recognize a Good Part Sustainment Plan from a Bad One.” Both the CEO and the director presented to packed rooms and demonstrated that GDCA is committed to our focus on servicing military programs in need of setting up a second source of supply (SSOS) for electronic CCAs affected by DMSMS.
