GDCA Inc. and Radisys Strike Partnership to Indefinitely Extend the Life of Legacy Products

LIVERMORE, Calif. — Jan. 27, 2020

GDCA INC. AND RADISYS EXTEND AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR END-OF-LIFE PRODUCTS

GDCA Inc., a California-based company that specializes in equipment manufacturing of legacy embedded computer equipment, announced this week that it has extended its manufacturing license deal with Radisys, a leader in providing open telecom and compute solutions worldwide.

Radisys has completed the transfer of over 300 previously end-of-life COM Express and ATCA product lines to GDCA. This means customers of the transferred product families now have a path to obtain support for these legacy products for as long as needed by taking advantage of GDCA’s lifecycle assurance services.

“Our two companies have a long history of providing extended support for end-of-life products, and this extended agreement reaffirms the trust Radisys has placed in us to offer continued support for a larger number of legacy products,” said Ethan Plotkin, CEO of GDCA.

“As we begin to understand how obsolescence affects manufacturers and customers alike, this extended agreement with GDCA allows us to stand by our commitment to drive new business models and meet the demands of new and long-time customers alike, while ensuring our customers with legacy products continue to have their needs met,” said Jason Hawley, Head of Embedded Platforms and Devices Business for Radisys.

Following the transfer in November 2019, Radisys notified all affected customers, directing them to GDCA for any new purchase or services requests.
